AzerTag reports that, development of archaeology science, outcomes of last explorations and development perspectives of archaeological and ethnographic tourism in Eurasian region are discussed.
Scientists, archaeologists and ethnographers from Turkey, Russia, Italy, Uzbekistan and other countries participated at the discussions.
The second day was opened by Associate member of National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (NASA), Veli Aliyev. Underscoring international importance of the event, Acad. Veli Aliyev said the cooperation in Eurasian space will pose serious influence on the results of the explorations. He also talked about successful results of archaeological explorations in Azerbaijan for last years and attention and care of the state in this field. Employee of Azov History, Archaeology and Paleontological Museum Reserve, PhD, Irina Gusach made a report on “New finds from the excavations of the Turkish fortress Azak”, head of chair in Azerbaijan State Economy University, Hidayat Jafarov “Primary results of archaeological explorations in Palidly necropolis”; chairman od MIRAS Social Organization, PhD Fariz Khalilli on “Agsu experience: Activity of MIRAS in research, conservation, protection and propagation of cultural heritage samples revealed from archaeological excavations”; head scientific worker on archaeology of Science-Culture Center of Icherisheher State History and Architecture Reserve, PhD Ganira Pirguliyeva “Some numismatic terms transmitted from Turkish to Russian language”; employee of Russian Federation Novosibirsk State University, PhD Alisa Borisenko “The Study of the Turkish antiquities in Southern Siberia by European scientists of the XVIII century”; employee of Russian Federation Kazan State University Archaeology Museum, Alsu Nuretdinova “A possible pottery workshop on the Toretz Settlement”. It was said in the speeches that, Eurasia is considered the most ancient and the richest region of the world, the first dwelling, the region early civilization samples created and all of these gained as a result of archaeological excavations. The said words by Irina Gusach on new finds regarding Azov archaeological excavations, in Turkish Castle Azov and new interesting information was heard on the history of 15-17th century Ottoman Empire. Two Turkic buildings and economy items of Turks revealed recently in the Castle, 17-18th century Turkic tobacco-pipe, Latin letters over that, etc. gave rather much information on history of that time of the region. A lot of information was gained on ancient Turkic tribes during archaeological explorations conducted by European archaeologists in Siberia. Archaeological finds displayed in the kurgans in separate regions of Azerbaijan, including Karabakh, particularly, Khojaly, Shusha and other places made heavy contributions the deep study of old and medieval hsitory of the country. The most interesting speakers at the conference were given memory presents by Center for Studies on Caucasian & Central Asian Archaeology and MIRAS Social Organization.
The participants went in the afternoon to Lahij Settlement.
